Update 4/14/20

With all our attention being focused on COVID-19, we are still hopeful about the Minnesota Powerboat Championships. We all hope a new normal will be in place the summer of 2021. And that hope includes the beginning of a new tradition for Minnesota that can last for generations to come.  We just received confirmation that our 501(c)3 incorporation has been approved by the IRS. Update 1/23/20

Our effort to bring a professional boat racing championship to Minnesota was covered in the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal.  This is the first press coverage we have received for our effort and the timing could not have been better and this was the opening day of the Minneapolis Boat Show.  We received so much feedback from people who stopped by our booth sharing their memories of past races held in Minneapolis and telling us how much they are looking forward to seeing races here again.

Update 1/4/19

In spite of the terrible weather (there is nothing like a freezing rain and snow mix) our kick off event on Thursday, December 27th at Supreme Marine in Minneapolis was a great success. About thirty people braved the weather and joined in the fun.  The conversations between the attendees from the Twin City Powerboat Association and the rest of us were amazing to experience.  See highlights below:

Highlights from our kickoff party on December 27th, 2018:

Future Racer
The smiles were beaming as our attendees discovered the community and family of the Twin Cities Power Boat Association. And maybe even created some future dreams of getting involved in the thrill of racing!

Some people fit in so well, it looked like they were already racing.  This is Katherine thinking about what it must feel like to be speeding across water at 130+ miles per hour!!

After all the talk about blow overs, Bennet is imagining what that must be like.

Conversations were amazing as everyone seemed to discover a world without electronic devices (except one anyway!)
